There are only a few objectives, but they are tangible, measurable and quantifiable. All our actions are directed towards achieving them:

They are all useful for your company. Quite a bit more than all the other blah, blah, blah.

All projects have objectives which will fill some ppt presentation-or-other. That’s how many websites are sold. These objectives are based on business, communications, marketing or brand directives or those legendary metaobjectives.

The objectives
Randomly, four little jewels that we have all heard:

  1. Position "enter your webpage name here" as the benchmark online presence in...
  2. Bring "enter your webpage name here" to the segment of the population closest to...
  3. Generate synergies between offline and online with strategies on...
  4. Create unique, interactive experiences which will submerge the user in...

And then, what did you say the objectives of your webpage were? A webpage is not a Tamagotchi. It is not a toy.

Those legendary metaobjectives
The user should be able to access the information easily, surfing should be comfortable and intuitive, there must be a consistent IT architecture… This is often the kind of objective which appears in ppt presentations.

But let’s be honest. At this point in the game, Hasn’t it stop being an objective and turned into an unavoidable premise?
